Constance Moody

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi,

I am a licensed professional counselor with approximately 20 years of experience. I enjoy working with many different populations and believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. Much of my experience is in the field of addiction (drugs, alcohol, food, and work), but I also have extensive experience with mood disorders and personality disorders. My preferred approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) because it is highly effective. I also have some experience with dialectical behavior therapy, which I think provides the best type of group experience.

In CBT we learn how our belief system is a lens through which we see everything in life. The lens affects how we feel about things and our behaviors. By becoming aware of this lens, we become able to change it, which can lead to dramatic changes in our lives. The best thing about these therapies is that you will learn how to use them on your own so they become a lifelong skill that can really improve the quality of your life.

About

Constance Moody is a licensed professional counselor (PA LPC PC003240) with approximately 20 years of clinical experience. She works with a wide range of people and approaches each individual with respect and compassion.

Much of her work has been in the field of addiction, including substance use (drugs and alcohol) as well as behavioral addictions related to food and work. She also has extensive experience treating mood disorders and personality disorders.

Her preferred method is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which she finds highly effective for helping people change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. She also has experience with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and values DBT for its strengths in group-based work.

Using CBT, she helps clients understand how their belief system acts as a lens shaping feelings and actions. Increasing awareness of that lens makes it possible to alter it, which can produce meaningful changes in daily life. She emphasizes teaching practical skills so clients can continue to use these approaches independently as ongoing tools for improving quality of life.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can make a real difference. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. Online care offers considerable flexibility. Individuals can choose the format that fits their needs and comfort level, including video calls, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging. That adaptability makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule. All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists at any time if they are seeking a different match. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible way to pursue support for everyday mental health challenges while maintaining the same professional standards found in face-to-face care.
