Cindy Tenaglia is a licensed clinical social worker (PA LCSW CW006987L) practicing outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with 18 years of clinical experience. She has supported individuals, couples, and families in both in-patient and out-patient settings, addressing a wide range of mental health and life challenges.
She completed her training and degree at the Bryn Mawr School of Social Work. Before pursuing her professional training she lived at an intentional community on 130 beautiful acres in Wisconsin, an experience that shaped her interest in collaboration and community living.
Her work blends coaching and therapy with a warm, empathic style that is tailored to each person she meets. Cindy values communication and collaboration and is a strong proponent of self-directed learning - she homeschooled her son and daughter for nine years and brings that same educational philosophy to helping others grow.
Cindy’s clinical approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based method for addressing problems in living. She uses the ACT Matrix to help clients increase psychological flexibility and self-awareness, with the goal of reducing struggle and moving toward valued, vital living.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A key benefit is convenience and flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that fits them best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which can make it easier to incorporate care into a busy life.
All therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would prefer a different fit.
