Christopher Tellez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (CA LCSW 102856) and a Reiki Master based in San Francisco, California. He earned a Master of Social Work from Columbia University in 2005 and received his LCSW in 2021. He founded SF REIKI CENTER in 2011, where he teaches Reiki and sees clients.
With 15 years of experience, Tellez employs a somatic approach that attends to mind, body, and spirit, helping people process feelings in a safe environment and move through them so they can create the life they want. His clinical work includes support for stress, anxiety, LGBT-related concerns, grief and coping with loss, anger management, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and owning one’s power. He practices as a gay, male therapist and brings a liberal perspective to his work.
Tellez believes that each person is the expert of their own story and that many existing strengths can be used to overcome challenges. Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage, and he offers support throughout that process. He also works with clients who wish to develop spiritual practice, meditation, and mantra practice.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. This approach is a practical option for addressing everyday mental health needs.
One of the main benefits is flexibility - you can connect with a therapist in the way that feels most comfortable for you, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Each therapist you work with is a licensed professional, and if you decide you would like a different match you can switch at any time. For many people, online therapy provides accessible options that help them engage in treatment more consistently.
