Over the past five years she has focused much of her practice on sexual abuse, including counselling non-abusing parents of children who have been sexually abused and working with primary, secondary and complex trauma, both recent and historic.
Her therapeutic style is warm, holding and interactive, and she aims to create a safe, consistent rapport that supports a healthy therapeutic alliance. Christine emphasises empathy, sensitivity and presence while working without judgement or bias, helping clients to clarify meaningful goals, gain insight and move forward even when therapy feels challenging.
As an integrative practitioner her approach is person-centred and combines cognitive-behavioural, humanistic, psychodynamic, transactional analysis, trauma-informed and solution-based methods. Treatment is tailored to each person’s unique needs and shaped by the presenting concerns and therapeutic goals.
For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person work. It can be a practical option for addressing everyday mental health needs and navigating stressful periods.
One key advantage is flexibility. People can connect in the way that suits them best – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care.
Each therapist involved is a licensed professional, and if a different fit is needed clients can change therapists at any time. This combination of demonstrated effectiveness and adaptable access makes online therapy a viable choice for many seeking support.
