My treatment approach and focus provides the support and guidance individuals need to manage challenging life circumstances. I utilize various therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, Attachment Therapy, Solution Focused, etc. Therapy is a process and patience is key. Clients are encouraged to make a commitment to themselves, the process, and the journey while giving themselves grace. I will listen to concerns, gather history, and explore their overall needs. Together, strategic interventions and goals are established that are meaningful, attainable, and promotes their overall well-being.
Clients are treated with respect, empathy, and compassion. Life challenges require coping skills, tools, and consistency. Taking the first step to seek help takes courage. I am here to support you so, let’s get started!

Charlotte Kennedy is an African American female clinician who holds a Michigan Licensed Master Social Worker credential (MI LMSW 6801086127) earned in 2005 and has seven years of experience providing therapy services.
She has provided therapeutic counseling to children, adults, and families across community and work settings, including involvement with church-affiliated groups, human services, hospital environments, and non-profit community service agencies. Her background also includes experience in macro-level human service management, policy development, and building professional collaborations.
Her practice addresses a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, parenting skills, anger management, neglect and domestic violence, self-care and conflict resolution, substance use and addictions, relationship and family matters, grief, career and life changes, and compassion fatigue.
Charlotte uses evidence-based methods including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment-based approaches, and solution-focused techniques. She approaches therapy as a process that benefits from patience and a client’s commitment, listening first to gather history and understand needs, then collaborating to set meaningful, attainable goals and strategic interventions that support overall well-being.
Clients are met with respect, empathy, and compassion as they develop coping skills, practical tools, and consistent routines to manage life’s challenges. She encourages taking the first step toward help and stands ready to provide that support.
Many people ask whether working with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether through video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
Each therapist offering online services is a licensed professional, and clients may choose to switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. Online therapy can be a practical route to consistent, professional support while addressing many everyday mental health concerns.
