Charlotte Hughes offers calm, non-judgemental support designed to help people gain new perspectives and get life and relationships back on track. She treats each person as an individual and adapts her work to fit their specific needs, using an integrative approach that draws on a range of therapeutic methods.
With 15 years of experience, Charlotte provides the time and space clients need to feel comfortable with the process while they develop practical ways to cope with the stresses life brings. As a former nurse in the NHS, she brings an informed understanding of how physical health can affect emotional and psychological wellbeing, and how those effects can ripple through relationships and family life.
Charlotte has used her clinical background to support people living with acute and chronic health conditions, including recovery from major surgery, cancer treatment, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), multiple sclerosis (MS), chronic pain, and more recently those experiencing Long Covid. She provides a warm, friendly and professional service, working collaboratively with clients to help them adapt, cope better, and find more enjoyment in life. Charlotte is a female therapist who is gay and non-religious.
Many people want to know whether remote therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions for most people.
A major benefit of online therapy is flexibility - you can connect in the way that suits you best, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity of care when schedules or circumstances change.
Each therapist you work with will be a licensed professional, and if you feel a different match would be better you can switch therapists at any time. For many people, the convenience and accessibility of online therapy make it a practical and effective option as they work toward their goals.
