Charesa Alphin is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Texas with ten years of clinical experience. She works with a wide range of concerns and focuses on areas such as stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, depression, coping with life changes, LGBT issues, relationship and family conflicts, grief, intimacy-related concerns, parenting challenges, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
Her approach is person-centered, aiming to create a safe space where individuals can share their stories and explore healing. She has training and experience in Client-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Animal-Assisted Therapy in Counseling (AAT-C). She is also completing additional training as a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist and as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
Charesa holds licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (TX LPC 75730). She believes that counseling can benefit everyone, a conviction she finds especially relevant given the widespread effects of pandemic-related stress, isolation, and loss. Currently she offers appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and she strives to schedule an initial session the same week a person reaches out. She also maintains some schedule flexibility when the posted hours do not align with a client’s needs.
