About

I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh. Since that time, I have worked with adults, couples, individuals and families. I have vast experience in crisis unit in-patient behavioral health. I have worked at several crisis stabilization units for both adults and children in Fort Myers, Florida as well as Plattsburgh, NY. I have worked in a Neuropsychology Clinic as well as Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Center (ADAC) developing group programs for clients. I am fascinated by phenomenon’s that affect humans and how individuals process and experience those phenomenon’s. I have participated in several research studies broadly looking at experiences of many types of individuals. I have worked on a quantitative study about the experiences of minority Jewish women immigrants in Canada. I presented the results of that study at McGill University Education Graduate Student Society. I have also presented at the North Eastern Evolutionary Psychological Society (NEEPS) on the impact of life defeat and victory on mood and attachment patterns. I was also involved in a study that involved looking at adult experiences of gender-based violence. I have experience using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client centered therapy, and other Cognitive Behavioral therapies, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Cinematherapy.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care.

One key benefit is flexibility – people can choose the mode of connection that fits their life, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to attend appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.

All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different match would be better. For many individuals, online therapy offers a practical and effective way to address everyday mental health concerns and move toward meaningful change.
