Bonita Zammit is a 46 year old mother of three, with children aged 24, 8 and 6, who draws on a wide range of life experience in her therapeutic work. She qualified as an Integrative Counsellor in 2007 and has spent the last 14 years working with diverse clients in one-to-one and group settings.
She currently practises in a Women’s Centre, counselling women who are survivors of domestic abuse, and co-facilitates the Freedom Programme - a 12 week course designed to help women understand abuse, its effects and its consequences. Her professional background also includes private practice, work within a GP centre and counselling in a prison setting.
Bonita has predominantly worked with adults and offers sessions face to face, online and by telephone. She is educated to Advanced Diploma level and maintains her professional development through courses, reading and voluntary work. She favours a phenomenological and person centred approach, believing this creates the trust and security needed for progress and healing.
Bonita describes counselling as a supportive resource for the difficulties life can bring and brings a clear passion and belief in the therapeutic process. She offers a consistently safe and non-judgemental space where awareness and healing can develop.
