I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and a Nationally Certified Counselor with over 7 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including but limited to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family issues, identity issues, LGBT, career challenges, chronic pain, and eating disorders. As an individual who is hard of hearing I also gave personal as well as professional experience with coping with disability issues. I also helped many people who have addictions to substances including heroin, pain pills, cocaine, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines, and alcohol,
My counseling style is approachable and interactive. I believe the counseling process is one where we both work together to help you reach your goals. I believe in treating everyone with respect, care, compassion, and and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines a variety of counseling styles to include solution-focused, person-centered, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. As therapy is about you and your goals/achievements, our session style, the content and the treatment plans are structured to meet your personal and unique needs.
It takes tremendous courage and strength to not only be able to identify areas in your life that you feel need improvement. Beth Anne Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana with national certification and eight years of clinical experience.
