Beth Anne Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana with national certification and eight years of clinical experience. She holds a Louisiana counseling license (LA LPC 6719) and is also a Nationally Certified Counselor, combining state licensure with national credentialing to support her work.
She has worked with clients across a broad range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship and family conflicts, identity and LGBT-related issues, career challenges, chronic pain, and eating disorders. She has substantial experience supporting people with substance use disorders, including those who have struggled with heroin, prescription pain medications, cocaine, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines, and alcohol.
As an individual who is hard of hearing, she brings both personal and professional insight into coping with disability-related issues. Her practice also addresses self-esteem, coping with life changes, stress, intimacy-related concerns, anger management, and coaching for personal and career growth.
Beth Anne approaches counseling as a collaborative, approachable, and interactive process. She emphasizes respect, care, and compassion while avoiding stigmatizing labels. Her therapeutic orientation blends solution-focused techniques, person-centered methods, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness practices. Sessions, content, and treatment plans are tailored to each person’s goals and unique needs.
She recognizes the courage required to seek help and to pursue change. If someone is ready to begin, Beth Anne is available to support them and looks forward to accompanying clients on their path toward growth.
