I am a licensed professional counselor in Georgia with 15 years’ experience working with adults and children to overcome fears and challenges that keep them from living their best lives. I have worked with people dealing with a variety of issues including, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief and life transitions. I have also helped people who have experienced domestic violence and emotional abuse to heal and find inner strength to move forward in their life. Much of my experience has been in university and community college counseling centers. I have also worked in the community mental health environment, domestic violence shelters, and in-patient adolescent facility.
Every person is wonderfully unique and comes with their own special qualities. In my counseling relationships, I listen to and respect my clients and am sensitive and compassionate to their unique set of needs and experiences. My counseling approach incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, positive psychology and mindfulness. I want to provide an environment of support for you and work with you to gain insight and determine a plan of action that fits your needs.
