Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am clinically licensed in Missouri with several years of high level professional work experience. I am formally trained in Trauma focused approaches; EMDR; ADHD systems and support; Motivational Interviewing; Clinical Wellness Coaching; Clinical Treatment planning for individual, systems and communities; Safety planning; Zero Suicide intervention; Cognitive Behavioral Therapies including Dialectal, Developmental Disorder, and Trauma focused modalities.
First and foremost everything I use is focused through a trauma lens. I start where the client is at and look at safety first. Then, I approach through the wellness model while using the Integrative therapy most appropriate for the client needs. Somatic therapies and psychoeducation are most common while implementing talk therapies. Once a treatment plan is established I find I use a holistic blend of CBT, DBT, TFCBT, Acceptance and Commitment, Behavioral Activation. Strengths Based, Family Systems, Expressive Arts, and more depending on the needs of the client.
I have a great deal of experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, parenting issues, finding motivation, ironing out self esteem issues, and building confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Angela Simbro is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Missouri with seven years of professional experience. She brings formal training in trauma-focused approaches, EMDR, ADHD systems and support, Motivational Interviewing, clinical wellness coaching, and clinical treatment planning for individuals, systems, and communities. Her background also includes safety planning, Zero Suicide intervention, and a range of cognitive behavioral therapies, including dialectical and trauma-focused modalities.
Everything Angela uses is viewed through a trauma lens. She begins by meeting clients where they are and prioritizes safety. From there she works within a wellness model and selects integrative therapies that best fit each person’s needs. Somatic methods and psychoeducation are commonly paired with talk therapies in her work.
Once a treatment plan is in place, Angela typically blends approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment strategies, and behavioral activation. She may also draw on strengths-based work, family systems thinking, expressive arts, and other modalities as appropriate for the client.
Angela has significant experience helping people manage stress and anxiety, process trauma and abuse, address parenting concerns, find motivation, and improve self-esteem and confidence. She approaches everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and tailors conversation and treatment plans to meet each person’s specific needs. She recognizes that beginning therapy takes courage and is proud of those who take that first step.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy can be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience support its usefulness for these types of issues.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can meet with therapists in the format that works best for them, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
All participants work with licensed professionals, and it is possible to change therapists if a different fit is desired. Online therapy gives access to skilled therapists while offering practical ways to engage in treatment from home or other convenient locations.
