Angela Carroll recognizes that beginning therapy takes strength and courage and she is committed to accompanying clients as they work toward greater wellness and empowerment. She acknowledges that therapy can feel difficult at times but believes the process is worthwhile and supports clients with an encouraging, collaborative stance.
She is licensed in Montana as a clinical social worker and as an addiction counselor, and she brings three years of professional experience to her practice. Prior to her clinical work, she served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for eight years, an experience that contributes to her disciplined and compassionate approach to care.
Angela has worked with people facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, chemical dependency, crisis management, parenting challenges, domestic violence, anger management, and relationship problems. Her specialties also include stress, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy-related issues, coping with life changes, sleeping disorders, self-esteem, career difficulties, and coaching.
Her counseling style is interactive, validating, empathetic, and warm. She uses a client-centered, strengths-based framework and combines cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral techniques with psychoeducation and mindfulness to create individualized treatment plans. Angela often offers optional homework to help clients extend progress between sessions, using books, workbooks, worksheets, helpful apps, or creative activities such as exercise, art, or writing. These are presented as choices and selected together with each client based on what will work best for their needs.
She is dedicated to helping clients make meaningful change and would be honored to support anyone ready to take the next step on their journey.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the clearest benefits is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that fits their schedule and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to maintain consistent care while balancing other responsibilities.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and individuals may switch therapists if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, effective option for addressing everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
