Andrew Roberts, MA, LMFT received his B.S. of Psychology and Minor of Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho and his M.A. of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. After completing his schooling, Andrew worked full-time as a clinical therapist at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in League City, working with teens from all over the country that were in residential treatment for a wide variety of issues, including (but not limited to): oppositional defiance/conduct concerns, mood instability, parent-child interaction, personality disorders (including Borderline Personality Disorder), suicidality and self-harm, substance use, and aggression.
In recent years, Andrew has transitioned into private practice, working primarily with teens and adults for issues of trauma, mood disorders, and relational concerns (whether marital or familial). While his physical office is located in the Southeast Houston area, he meets exclusively online with BetterHelp subscribers through the BetterHelp platform.
Andrew employs various models of therapy depending upon the particular problem and the appropriate fit for the client. However, most of the treatment methods utilized incorporate a large cognitive-behavioral approach (including DBT/mindfulness skills).

Andrew Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho, followed by a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He is licensed to practice as a marriage and family therapist in Texas and brings ten years of clinical experience to his work.
