Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Colorado and have worked with diverse populations for over 15 years. No matter the issue whether it is substance abuse, trauma, relationships, family of origin, parenting, depression, anxiety, or fear; developing clarity around reasons we behave and react as we do is vital in self-examination. When we develop awareness around problem behaviors and responses to circumstances, we begin the evaluative process of returning to right-mindedness (seeing vs. defending against). Correcting thoughts and observing our perceptions and projections allows us to do the work necessary to modify what isn’t working. My approach to working with clients is relational and client focused. This means I meet you where you are while listening and guiding sessions so you feel heard and understood. My primary objective is to support you with practical solution-focused strategies as you progress toward your treatment goals.
Transformation only happens when we are willing! Asking for help demonstrates your willingness to look inside and use your strengths and resources to take responsibility for your life. Willingness allows you to consider a different way to self-examine so you create the life that you desire! One free from isolation, shame, guilt, and blame. A return to loving yourself!
I look forward to hearing from you!

Andrea Schmidt is a Colorado-licensed clinical social worker and a licensed addiction counselor who has supported diverse populations for more than 15 years. She works with people facing substance use concerns, trauma, relationship and family-of-origin struggles, parenting challenges, depression, anxiety, and related fears, helping them gain clarity about why they behave and react as they do.
Andrea emphasizes awareness as the foundation for change. By examining thoughts, perceptions, and projections, clients can evaluate what is and is not serving them and begin to shift patterns that no longer work. She frames this process as returning to clearer, more constructive ways of seeing rather than defending against difficult feelings.
Her style is relational and client-focused – she meets clients where they are, listens closely, and guides sessions so people feel heard and understood. The practical aim of her work is to offer solution-focused strategies that support steady progress toward treatment goals.
Andrea believes transformation requires willingness, and asking for help is an important step toward using strengths and resources to take responsibility and build a life free from isolation, shame, guilt, and blame. She looks forward to hearing from prospective clients.
Many people wonder whether online therapy really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy is often as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that fits their life and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to sustain regular care.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and individuals can change therapists at any time if they need a different fit. For many people, the convenience and accessibility of remote therapy support consistent engagement and steady progress toward goals.
