Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! I am Anabelle and I am a person-centred practitioner who believes that the counselling relationship is an invaluable way of empowering the client to find their own resilience and inner resources. I graduated from Keele University with a distinction in MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy, an achievement I am proud of and I believe my own experience as a client made possible. I have worked with all sorts of issues, including anxiety, trauma and low self-esteem. I have experience of carrying out relaxation and yoga sessions with people who have experienced trauma and believe that it is important to bring awareness to our body when exploring our mental health and wellbeing,
I enjoy getting to know each client, learning about their support network, strengths and the experiences that have shaped them into who they are today. I also believe that we all have the potential to become the best version of ourselves and that the counselling relationship can be key to achieving this. By working together we can explore defence systems that have once served a purpose but may now be holding you back. We can explore what you would like to gain from the counselling sessions and I believe that you are the “expert” on you. It is my role to build a relationship with you in which you feel comfortable to explore any issues that you feel would be most helpful to you to address and to offer the support and encouragement necessary to promote positive changes in your life. The counselling relationship can be a unique opportunity to feel seen, heard and accepted.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my springer spaniel Olly.

Anabelle Tidmarsh is a person-centred practitioner who regards the counselling relationship as a vital means of helping clients access their own resilience and inner resources.
She holds an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University, awarded with distinction – an achievement she attributes in part to her own experience as a client.
Anabelle has worked with a range of issues, including anxiety, trauma and low self-esteem, and has experience running relaxation and yoga sessions with people who have experienced trauma. She places importance on bringing awareness to the body when exploring mental health and wellbeing.
She takes time to get to know each client, learning about their support network, strengths and the experiences that have shaped them. Anabelle believes that people have the potential to become the best version of themselves, and that the counselling relationship can play a key role in that process. Together she will explore defence systems that once served a purpose but may now hold someone back, and clarify what the client would like to gain from sessions, recognising that the client is the expert on their own life.
Her role is to build a relationship in which clients feel comfortable addressing the issues most helpful to them and to offer the support and encouragement needed to promote positive change. She views counselling as an opportunity for people to feel seen, heard and accepted.
In her free time Anabelle enjoys spending time with her family and walking her springer spaniel, Olly.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A key advantage is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life or to access support from a convenient place.
Therapy is provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would prefer a different fit. Each therapist offers professional training and a therapeutic approach, and clients can choose the format that best suits their needs.
