Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have long dreamed of becoming a therapist due to the positive impact therapy has had on my life. As a young girl, my mother took me to a counselor to help me process my parents’ separation, prior to their divorce. There was quite a significant change for me in many ways as I was aided through the painful transition in my family.
It was during this time that I started to realize the impacts counseling had on my life. It also began to grow a need within me to serve others in much the same way I had received. Recognizing the importance of my first counseling experience, I continued to seek counseling on and off throughout the years myself. I truly believe that I would be a different person, potentially lost in a dark place, were not for therapy. Because of the positive impacts therapy have had on me during my life, it is my passion to pay that forward and positively impact those in need of help and guide those in need of new paths.
I graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters in Counseling. My professional roles have included special education teacher, and counselor. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, teens, and parents. My education and career path, coupled with my life experiences have molded me into the person and counselor I am today.

Amy Seligson grew interested in the helping professions because therapy had a meaningful and lasting effect on her own life. As a child, her mother brought her to a counselor to process her parents’ separation before their divorce, and that early support helped her navigate a difficult family transition.
That formative experience led Amy to continue seeking counseling on and off through the years, and it fostered a commitment to offer others the same guidance she received. She credits therapy with shaping who she is today and is motivated to pay that forward by helping people find new paths forward.
Amy holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Wayne State University and has worked as a special education teacher and as a counselor.
