Amy Loder

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hello to all, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with ten years’ experience as a clinician, including five years at a mental health urgent care.
I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, trauma, anger, workplace problems, family/ relationship dynamics, assertiveness, communication, and boundaries.
Not widely experienced with addiction treatment (alcohol, drugs or “process disorders” – pornography, gambling, exercise), eating disorder treatment, body dysmorphia or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
My service has been diverse in terms of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion and age.
I especially enjoy working with young adults as they encounter the demands of the world and seek to build life independently.

Many people ask what therapy is like. For those new to therapy, it’s a conversation in a judgment-free zone. I take a warm and engaging approach that’s strength-based (identifying and drawing on your strengths).
I’m active and like to challenge unhelpful thought patterns and ask questions to get to the core of a problem. Voicing your concerns and being heard can relax your mind and body.
I prefer using video sessions and phone if more convenient. I’m not offering live chat feature; seeing and hearing clients helps me determine the level wellness or struggle best.

Depending on each person’s needs I may suggest coping techniques from modalities like grounding, exposure therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy and others that may help.
If you would like to work towards improving your emotional health I’m happy to explore issues with you.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most situations.

One major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their routines and comfort level, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That convenience often makes it easier to attend sessions regularly and integrate therapy into a busy life.

Each therapist offering online care is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch providers if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, practical way to work with a trained therapist on common emotional and interpersonal concerns.
