Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts with 20 years of experience working with adolescents and their families. I have had the privilege of helping teens and their families deal with very complex, challenging issues in a variety of settings. Many of my clients have struggled with depression, anxiety, peer and relationship issues, trauma , dissociation, and abuse. These significant challenges often contribute to behavior including addiction, self harm, and suicidality which have impacted my client’s lives profoundly.
I am compassionate and committed to helping improve the lives of those seeking my help. I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to helping clients engage vulnerability and take on their personal challenges. I do not rely on a particular framework for understanding where someone is coming from but instead. pull from a variety of clinical theories to determine the best way to help. I believe in the individual narrative, perspective, and experience and will always start where the client is, when they seek help. The treatment I provide respects the unique and specific needs of each individual and I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” model. I listen intently and challenge clients to work with me to better understand and look at what gets in their way and to ultimately make the shifts necessary to improve their lives.
Deciding to get help is an indicator of your strength and courage. If you think I might be a good fit to help you make changes in your life I am ready to support you!

Amy Johnson holds a Master of Arts and is a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts (MA LICSW 113676). She has 20 years of experience working with adolescents and their families and has provided care in a variety of settings facing a range of clinical challenges.
Many of the young people and families she has worked with have struggled with depression, anxiety, peer and relationship issues, trauma, dissociation, and abuse. Those difficulties have at times contributed to behaviors such as addiction, self-harm, and suicidality that have deeply affected daily functioning.
Johnson brings a compassionate, committed approach to therapy and places the therapeutic relationship at the center of her work to help clients access vulnerability and address personal challenges. She does not adhere to a single framework but instead draws on multiple clinical theories to determine the most helpful path for each person.
She respects each client’s individual narrative and begins treatment from where the client is when they seek help. Her care is tailored to specific needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model; she listens closely and also challenges clients to explore what gets in their way and to make the shifts necessary to improve their lives.
Johnson views the decision to seek help as a demonstration of strength and courage. If someone believes she might be a good fit to support change in their life, she is ready to provide support.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience support its use for a wide range of everyday mental health needs.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility. People can connect with their therapist in the format that fits their routine and comfort level, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety of options can make it simpler to maintain regular care.
Each therapist offering online care is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they need a different fit. For many individuals, remote therapy provides an accessible, practical way to receive consistent support while balancing other life commitments.
