Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I have been practicing therapy for approximately 10 years; the last three of which have been working with children, adolescents, and their families. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and general life concerns. I am trained in evidenced-based, trauma informed therapies such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or TF-CBT (I am also a certified TF-CBT provider) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR, as well as your standard talk therapy. My goal is to provide the best therapy that will meet the needs of my clients, so sometimes I will utilize multiple methods and/or theoretical approaches to address presenting concerns. I genuinely care about my client’s well-being, and am willing to tell you if I don’t believe myself to be a good fit for your needs. Whether you are looking for someone to provide an outside perspective on life, seeking a specific form of therapy, or are drawn to faith-based, Biblical counseling I might just be the counselor for you.

Amber Ensign is a Texas-based licensed professional counselor with 12 years of clinical experience. Over the most recent three years she has focused on working directly with children, adolescents, and their families while maintaining a broader practice addressing adult concerns.
She has supported people managing substance use, trauma and abuse, grief and depression, anxiety and stress, relationship and parenting difficulties, changes in life circumstances, low self-esteem, anger, and compassion fatigue. Her clinical training includes evidence-based, trauma-informed methods such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – she is a certified TF-CBT provider – and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), along with traditional talk therapy approaches.
Amber aims to deliver therapy that fits each personâs needs, often blending techniques and theoretical perspectives to address the issues presented. She emphasizes genuine care for clientsâ well-being and will advise if she believes another clinician would be a better fit. Whether someone wants an outside perspective, a specific therapeutic modality, or faith-based Biblical counseling, Amber offers options intended to meet those preferences.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling truly helps. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care for many individuals.
One of the clearest advantages is convenience. Clients can choose the format that fits their life and comfort level, whether that means video appointments, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to maintain consistent work toward goals even with busy schedules.
Licensed professionals provide care remotely, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different match would serve them better. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible, practical path to address everyday mental health challenges and to pursue lasting change.
