Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome! My name is Ally Dagbjartsdottir and I’m so excited for the opportunity to work with you. Therapy is a collaboration, one in which we partner to find ways to help you cope with life’s challenges, setbacks, questions, etc. I would love to be the person to help you be the best version of yourself. Therapy is for everyone and anyone and as a social worker, my background enables me to look at things from multiple perspectives. I have worked with children and families for 13 years, 8 of which I have been a therapist. My specialty is working with children, adolescents, and families with trauma backgrounds. I love working with teenagers and young adults as well as parents, but really I just love that one on one partnership that takes place in the therapeutic relationship. I am a firm believer in the strengths perspective. You have what it takes within you; let me help you find your inner voice and together we can find creative solutions to any multitude of issues. You have taken the first step and that is brave. I look forward to hearing from you!

Adalheidur (Ally) Dagbjartsdottir approaches therapy as a collaborative partnership, working alongside clients to find practical ways to cope with life’s setbacks, stresses, and questions.
She believes therapy is accessible to anyone and brings the perspective of a social worker to help view challenges from multiple angles. As a licensed clinical social worker in Missouri and a licensed specialist clinical social worker in Kansas, Ally combines professional training with a warm, strengths-based outlook.
Ally has five years of experience providing therapy and focuses on supporting children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families, particularly those with trauma histories. She values the one-on-one connection that develops in therapy and aims to help people discover their inner voice and creative solutions to a wide range of concerns.
Recognizing that beginning therapy is a courageous first step, Ally invites prospective clients to reach out and explore how they might work together toward meaningful change.
Many people wonder whether virtual sessions can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their needs and lifestyle, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options often makes it easier to attend sessions consistently.
Therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients typically have the option to switch therapists if they decide a different fit would be better. Overall, online therapy can be a practical, effective way to access professional support while fitting into a busy life.
