Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to explore entering therapy and considering me for the journey. The fact that you are reading this says you are ready to explore making changes! Changes are often seen as difficult; yet, changing because we want something different in our life is rewarding! My perspective is everyone can benefit from therapy – whether it is in response to something that has happened to you, or if it is because you are looking to make a change in your life proactively!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania where I re-located to after graduating in 1996. I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia. I have additional education and training in Animal Assisted Therapy and Education, Trauma Informed Counseling, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), in addition to other topics. Most of my work has been in the community (home-based settings, out-patient settings, school settings, university settings). I have experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and families. I have extensive experience working with trauma, mood disorders and life changes. I am a LGBTQI+ affirming therapist. I believe all of us are unique and important and worthy of life that we can be our authentic self.

Injury and hurt often happen within relationships. I believe healing happens through relationships and therefore, you are a partner in the therapeutic process. This is your journey, and it is your goals and health we are focused on. Therapy is not always easy; healing is not always comfortable; yet the process is rewarding. I respect you and your experiences and strive to create an environment where you feel encouraged, supported, and motivated to reach for your goals. Therapy works best with there is collaboration and mutual respect. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities that are customized to each person with whom I am working.

Taking the step to enter therapy and finding a therapist that is the right fit is an important decision. I would enjoy being invited to be part of this journey with you. If you believe I would be a good fit for your journey, please do not hesitate to reach out!

I look forward to hearing from you!

About

Margot Myers welcomes people who are ready to explore change and take steps toward a different way of living. She understands that change can feel difficult, yet believes pursuing change intentionally can be deeply rewarding and that therapy can help whether someone is responding to an event or seeking proactive growth.

She brings 29 years of clinical experience and relocated to Pennsylvania after completing her graduate studies in 1996. Margot earned a master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and holds social work licensure in both Pennsylvania and South Carolina, including clinical social work credentials in Pennsylvania.

Margot has pursued additional training in Animal Assisted Therapy and Education, trauma-informed counseling, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), among other topics. Much of her work has taken place in community settings – including home-based care, outpatient programs, schools, and universities – and she has worked with children, teens, adults, and families. She also has extensive experience addressing trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions.

As an LGBTQI+ affirming therapist, Margot views healing as emerging through relationships and engages clients as partners in the therapeutic process. She aims to create an environment of respect and support, recognizing that therapy can be challenging and uncomfortable at times while also offering meaningful reward. Her approach is collaborative and tailored, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities selected to fit each person she sees.

Margot values the importance of finding a good match between client and therapist and would be glad to be considered for that role. Prospective clients who feel she might be a fit are invited to reach out to begin the conversation.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the format that works best for them, whether that is a video appointment, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit counseling into busy schedules and to continue care from different locations.

Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if a different fit is needed clients have the option to switch therapists. For many people, remote therapy offers an effective and convenient way to address everyday mental health concerns and life transitions while maintaining professional clinical support.
