Dr. Candon Sadler

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Since I was very young, I have known that I wanted to grow up to help others. As early as high school, I was enrolling in psychology courses to familiarize myself with the study of people, how they develop, and how they interact with themselves and others. After high school, I attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA and graduated with a B.A. in psychology. Using this degree, I was able to work at a crisis call center, as well as an inpatient mental health treatment facility helping people who were in distress and not functioning well in their life. After a couple of years, I realized I would need further education and specialization to be able to help others more effectively. This realization led me to Indiana State University where I graduated with my Masters degree, and subsequently, my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.

Throughout the 16+ years since I earned those credentials, I’ve been fortunate to work in a variety of settings while helping a diverse group of individuals feel comforted and supported while learning skills to improve their daily life. I spent my internship and several post-doctoral years working within U.S. Veterans’ Administration Hospitals, where I had the opportunity to help veterans and their families work through various issues including chronic pain, community re-assimilation, sleep disorders, depression, anxiety, and whatever may have been important to them. Additionally, over the years, I have provided therapy through community mental health centers, Hospice services, and rehabilitative/long-term nursing centers. Most recently, I have enjoyed working in preschools with teachers, as well as families of young children to assist with classroom and home-life success, and early-intervention special services. Through all of these experiences, I have found that in most situations, committed individuals can learn to improve their lives simply by having someone that listens sincerely and helps them to evaluate their thoughts/behavior, enhance communication skills, and learn coping strategies.

I truly believe the experiences I have had, both personally and professionally, have led me to be the helpful, caring and capable therapist that I dreamed of being when I was a young girl. I strive to meet individuals wherever they may be and work alongside them to identify goals and help them learn skills that can improve their overall experience of life in a meaningful way. I am a steadfast believer that therapy is most effective when it is rooted in a strong, trusting, and open client-therapist relationship, focused on issues that are most relevant in daily life, and conducted at a pace that is comfortable for the client. If you feel that these qualities align with your situation, please don’t hesitate a minute more… contact me. I’m here to help.

About

Dr. Candon Sadler discovered a desire to help others early in life, enrolling in psychology courses while still in high school to better understand how people develop and relate to themselves and others. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked at a crisis call center and at an inpatient mental health treatment facility, supporting people who were in distress and struggling to function in daily life. Seeking additional specialization, she went on to earn both a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Indiana State University.

Over the course of 17 years in practice, Dr. Sadler has worked in a variety of settings and with a diverse range of individuals. She completed her internship and several post-doctoral years in U.S. Veterans’ Administration Hospitals, where she assisted veterans and their families with concerns such as chronic pain, community re-assimilation, sleep disorders, depression, and anxiety. She has also provided therapy through community mental health centers, hospice services, and rehabilitative or long-term nursing centers, and more recently has collaborated with preschools to support teachers and families of young children with classroom and home-life success and early-intervention special services.

Dr. Sadler believes that many committed individuals can improve their daily lives when they have someone who listens attentively and helps them evaluate thoughts and behaviors, strengthen communication, and learn practical coping strategies. She aims to meet people where they are, work alongside them to identify goals, and teach skills that meaningfully enhance overall well-being. She practices as a licensed psychologist in Florida and holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. If these qualities align with a person’s needs, Dr. Sadler welcomes them to reach out for support.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether remote therapy truly makes a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.

One of the main advantages is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, choosing among video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and everyday routines.

Licensed professionals provide online care, and clients have the option to switch therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit. For many people, the accessibility and convenience of online therapy make it a practical choice for addressing common mental health and relationship concerns.
