Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! My name is Susana Potter, LMHC, BC-DMT, and I am a body-centered psychotherapist with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. My expertise in dance/movement therapy allows me to understand that often times mental health disorder is rooted in a lack of connection with the body. I offer an embodied approach to counseling which goes beyond traditional talk therapy and integrates dance therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, yoga therapy and mindfulness.
In addition to working with Betterhelp, I also own a private practice where I work with adults who deal with stress and anxiety, lgbt-related issues, relationship issues, & trauma. I am passionate about my work in uplifting BIPOC, queer folks and allies to feel empowered enough to create the life they want. At the core of my private practice is a firm mission of inclusivity and diversity competence.

I can help you master mindfulness skills so that you can live your life NOW and break free from depression, anxiety and trauma. I believe that although not everyone is dealt the same hand in life, each individual has the potential to create the life they want. I believe that true change requires understanding and the willingness to accept. I am proud to serve LGBTQ+ and BIPOC identified individuals. Am I the right therapist for you? Follow that “gut feeling.”

Susana Garcia is a Florida-based therapist with 14 years of experience who brings a body-centered perspective to mental health care. She focuses on helping people reconnect with their bodies and build emotional resilience through an approach that complements traditional talk therapy.
She is a Florida-licensed mental health counselor, holding license number MH16172, and is also board-certified in dance/movement therapy. That combination of clinical training and somatic certification informs a practice that integrates mindfulness, movement-informed work, and skills-based techniques like dialectical behavior therapy.
In addition to offering online services, she maintains a private practice working with adults who experience stress and anxiety, LGBT-related concerns, relationship challenges, trauma and abuse, and depression. Her work emphasizes inclusivity and cultural competence, with a particular commitment to uplifting BIPOC and queer clients and their allies.
Susana meets people where they are and supports them in developing embodied awareness and practical coping skills so they can move past difficult situations, trust their instincts, and pursue the life they want. She collaborates with each client to set realistic goals and navigate the path toward healing and growth.
Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as in-person care for a wide range of individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that works best for their schedule and comfort level, whether that is video sessions, phone conversations, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy life.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to request a different therapist if they feel a different fit would be helpful. Online therapy can be a practical and effective way to get support for everyday mental health concerns and to maintain continuity of care while balancing life’s demands.
