Robert Turner

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am a licensed mental health therapist in the state of Georgia with over 5 years of experience working as a clinical mental health therapist. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, Bi-polar, Schizophrenia, OCD, ODD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style has always been focused on building a strong therapeutic alliance with my client. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My motto is that we all have bad situations in life (death, abuse, divorce, etc.) that we experience in life that can trigger some negative thoughts, emotional feelings, etc. and it is important to respond to these situations in a healthy manner or we tend to stay in that negative space longer than we ever intended. I have been there. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, DBT, rational-emotive counseling, and client-centered therapy. My goal is to walk with you through your healing journey as you take steps towards accepting but not allowing challenging events to define who you are and take control of your life.

I realize that it is not easy to admit that you need help, but that is the beginning of change!! If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

About

Robert Turner is a licensed professional counselor practicing in Georgia with 3 years of clinical experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.

He has worked with people facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. He has also supported many individuals who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

Turner emphasizes building a strong therapeutic alliance, approaching each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. He believes that difficult life events – such as loss, abuse, or divorce – can trigger painful thoughts and emotions, and that responding to those experiences in healthy ways helps prevent staying in a prolonged negative space.

His clinical approach blends cognitive-behavioral techniques, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), rational-emotive strategies, and client-centered methods. He aims to walk alongside clients through their healing process, helping them accept challenging events without allowing those events to define who they are and to regain control over their lives.

Turner recognizes that acknowledging the need for help is often the hardest step, and he offers support and empowerment to clients who decide to begin that work. He looks forward to working with individuals ready to take that step.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether remote counseling can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy can be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.

One major advantage is flexibility – clients can meet with therapists in the format that fits their life best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to schedule regular sessions and maintain momentum in treatment.

Licensed professionals provide care through these remote options, and clients can change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers a practical and accessible way to pursue support and make progress on everyday mental health concerns.
