Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I’d like to introduce myself. I am a practicing psychotherapist licensed in both Washington and California. My licensure is as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) since 1989. My training working with individuals and families is informed by an educational and experiential foundation in human systems, so my perspective is through the lens of our human experience in context, both historic and present day. Early family experiences, present day relationships, work and school environments and community surroundings all impact our view of ourselves, others, and our relationship to the world.
I am excited to work with each of you to discover what can create for you a sense of hope, promise, self-regard, and general increased emotional health. Together we will look to those positive possibilities to inspire action to address and change what holds you back and stands in the way of a true sense of wellbeing and personal agency.
I have worked in the field for a long time in multiple settings from hospitals and public health to military bases, agencies, and small practice offices in rural and urban communities; from these varied experiences I have developed so much respect for the diversity of human experience and the personal and unique nature of each individual’s set of challenges.
I am trained in many approaches and find that the core of effective work is the quality relationship with you, the client, and the level of understanding and trust that grows out of listening, challenging, and encouraging positive action. I will draw from a number of proven effective models of therapy as appropriate to help you find your way, and our work will be dedicated to moving you towards your personal goals.
I truly look forward to our time together.

Katherine Weller is a marriage and family therapist licensed in both California and Washington who brings 30 years of clinical experience to her work. She has held licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1989 and practices from a systems-oriented perspective that emphasizes how people are shaped by their relationships, histories, work, school, and community contexts.
Her practice addresses a wide range of concerns including stress and anxiety, family conflicts and parenting challenges, self-regard and career difficulties, relationship and intimacy issues, trauma and abuse, depression, coping with life changes, coaching needs, and compassion fatigue. Katherine views each person and family as unique and tailors her approach to the specific pattern of circumstances and goals presented in therapy.
Across three decades she has worked in diverse settings – hospitals, public health, military bases, agencies, and small practice offices in both rural and urban communities – and those experiences have deepened her appreciation for the variety of human experience. Her training in human systems guides her attention to how early family experiences and present-day environments influence a person’s view of self and others.
Katherine centers the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for effective work, combining attentive listening with thoughtful challenge and encouragement toward constructive action. She draws on a range of proven therapy models as appropriate and partners with clients to cultivate hope, personal agency, and improved emotional health. For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life transitions – online therapy can be equally effective as traditional in-person care. Research and practice have shown that remote sessions work well for a wide range of everyday mental health needs.
One of the main benefits of therapy offered remotely is flexibility. People can connect with therapists in the format that best fits their schedule and comfort level – whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety of options makes it easier to keep continuity of care amid busy lives.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and you always have the option to switch to a different therapist if you need a better fit. The overall goal remains the same – to support progress on the concerns that brought you to therapy and to make it simpler to access consistent, professional help.
