Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is David Rice and I want to first say that because you are here you are already on the path to healing. My profession as a therapist is one that I take very seriously because I know that people are valuable, their lives are precious, and joy and contentment should be in each and every one of us.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor located in Idaho. I have twenty years experience providing clinical support to a diverse population over that amount of time. In 2001 I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Adams State University, Alamosa, Colorado. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I have worked with all age groups and have experience working with a wide range of presenting issues including relationship conflicts, self image, grief and loss, trauma, motivation and anxiety.
I would describe my approach as client-centered and solution-focused. I provide a compassionate, empathetic style, while also empowering and challenging clients to be their best selves. I use an integrated approach with clients, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution focused therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior therapy. I encourage clients to set realistic goals and objectives throughout the therapy process and I am committed to joining, supporting, and encouraging my clients in that process.

Many people ask whether remote counseling can truly help. For a range of common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions – online therapy can be on par with traditional in-person sessions in terms of effectiveness for most individuals.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the connection method that fits their life best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to attend appointments and maintain continuity of care.
Therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. This convenience and adaptability often make therapy more accessible and easier to incorporate into a busy routine.
