Nicole Byrum

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hello! My name is Nicole Byrum and I am an independently licensed marriage and family therapist. I have over 14 years of experience in the clinical setting and have come to understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship. One of my strengths as a therapist is the ability to connect with a variety of people! Working in a community mental health setting throughout my career has afforded me the opportunity to work with a variety of people as well as a variety of presenting issues. Much of my work has been with those facing addictions, mood disorders, and anxiety. However, my Master’s Degree is in marriage and family therapy and I enjoy working with couples and families as well!

I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and am always on the lookout for the strengths my clients possess. I also love to teach new skills and desire to equip my clients with practical tools. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but will format the treatment plan to your individual needs.

I’m so glad you’ve decided to take this step toward change. Whatever you are going through, you don’t have to do it alone. I look forward to working with you!

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people wonder whether remote sessions can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care. A major benefit is flexibility – you can meet with a therapist in the way that best fits your schedule and comfort level, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to maintain regular therapy amid busy or changing routines. Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if you ever feel a different fit would be better, you may switch therapists at any time. For many people facing everyday mental health and relationship challenges, online therapy is a practical and effective option.
