Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I’m so happy that you reached out to BetterHelp. I am Michelle Farias, a licensed therapist. I have been a licensed therapist for almost 20 years, and I am honored to work with clients who trust me in this journey. You may read more about my background, education, experience, and counseling approach by clicking on my name on this page. I work with clients who have anxiety and parents of anxious children and LGBTQ+ persons. I will work with your comfort level, but I believe a video meeting is the best start. Yet, you are free to choose the best way you would like to communicate–video, phone or chat When you are ready, you may schedule a meeting on your scheduling page. I check my messages twice a day Monday through Friday. I am available for live phone calls and video chats at various times. Sessions need to be conducted in a private room. I will not conduct sessions when client is driving or riding in a car for safety reasons. I will respond to your messages in a timely manner, but I do not check messages on the weekends or holidays. Note: Should you feel in need of urgent help or that you are in a crisis at any time during our work together, please call 1-800-273-TALK 24 hours a day or call 911. This forum does not provide any type of emergency services, so I want to be sure you know who to contact if you need immediate help. Michelle Farias is a Texas-based licensed professional counselor with 25 years of clinical experience. She works with adults, parents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, offering support for stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief, and parenting issues.
Michelle approaches each therapeutic relationship with respect for the client’s comfort and pace. Clients may schedule appointments through her scheduling page. Michelle monitors messages twice daily Monday through Friday and offers live phone calls and video chats at various times. She asks that sessions take place in a private room and will not conduct sessions if a client is driving or riding in a car. Messages are not routinely checked on weekends or on holidays.
Michelle is licensed to practice in Texas (TX LPC 16975), a credential that reflects her formal training and state authorization to provide therapy. If a client feels they need urgent assistance or are in crisis during the course of treatment, Michelle directs them to call 1-800-273-TALK or 911 for immediate help, since this forum does not provide emergency services.

Many people want to know whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or major life transitions, evidence indicates that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility. Individuals may choose the mode of communication that best fits their needs and schedule – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – making it easier to maintain continuity of care without rearranging daily life.
Another advantage is access to licensed professionals. Therapists who offer remote care hold the appropriate credentials to practice, and clients may request a different clinician at any time if they feel a change would be helpful. Online therapy can be a practical and effective option for many people seeking support.
