My name is Laura Nagy. I have a Masters in Agency Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, where I live with my husband and daughter. I have been working in the mental health field since 1995. I have background in crisis counseling, working with depression, anxiety, and OCD, to name a few. I have worked with folks who have concerns around relationship issues, work stressors, career challenges, parenting problems, and family struggles. I have worked with people suffering from PTSD and those who have struggled with suicidal ideation. I also have been certified in and have practiced Equine-Assisted Therapy.
My therapy style is client-centered and solution-focused. I believe that you, the client, should set the goals for therapy. I am available to support, empower, and assist as best I can. I am likely to assign homework to be done in between our sessions, so that we can make the best of our time, and keep moving forward towards achieving your goals. I utilize a strengths-based style, focusing on the courage and strength it took for you to get to this point in your life. I also believe that assisting you in discovering your natural support system will give you the tools you need to continue building your own well-being.
The strength that it took you to reach out for help should be commended. I would love to help you explore what life can give you with peace and a sense of well-being. Together, we can put together a solid set of tools to empower you to continue to make great strides towards wellness. I look forward to working with you.

For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, remote therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and practice have shown that online sessions work well for a wide range of everyday mental health needs.
One major advantage is flexibility – people can connect with a therapist in the format that best fits their schedule and comfort level, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to maintain consistency and integrate therapy into a busy life.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they seek a different fit. Online therapy provides an accessible way to begin or continue work on personal goals with qualified therapists while keeping the focus on effective, solution-oriented care.
