Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor living in Michigan. I hold degrees in both Special Education (B.S., Wayne State University) and in Counseling (M.A., Oakland University).
As a counselor, my approach focuses primarily on cognitive behavioral therapy and on solution-oriented therapy. Some of the issues I can help with include depression; anxiety; stress management; relationship difficulties; parenting challenges; divorce; grief and loss; and trauma. I specialize in working with adolescents 12+ and with adults of all ages.
With well over a decade of experience in counseling, my additional experience in special education has offered unique insight into autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, cognitive impairment, and learning disabilities. In case you or a loved one are struggling with these issues, I can tailor my approach accordingly.
At our initial visit, you’ll be welcome to say as much about yourself as you feel comfortable sharing. If you already have an idea of what you might like to achieve through our work together, that would be helpful for me to know… but in case you are not sure yet, that’s ok too – we can figure it out together! Regardless of how much or how little experience you may already have in therapeutic settings, I aim to help you identify and focus on concrete, achievable goals which I hope will lead to positive outcomes in your life.
In addition to standard Monday-Friday daytime hours, I can accommodate clients seeking evening appointments until as late as 8pm EST. Weekends between 9am and 2pm EST are likewise possible.

Her clinical work emphasizes cognitive behavioral therapy alongside a solution-oriented approach, guiding clients toward practical skills and measurable progress. Paula has extensive experience working with adolescents aged 12 and older as well as adults of all ages. Her background in special education adds useful perspective when addressing autism spectrum considerations, ADHD, cognitive impairment, and learning disabilities, and she adjusts interventions to meet those needs when appropriate.
At the first appointment Paula invites clients to share whatever they feel comfortable disclosing and to discuss any goals they have for therapy. If the goals are not yet clear, she collaborates with clients to identify concrete, achievable objectives and to develop steps toward positive change. In addition to regular Monday through Friday daytime availability, Paula can offer evening appointments as late as 8pm EST and weekend sessions between 9am and 2pm EST to accommodate different schedules.
Many people ask whether therapy delivered remotely can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the mode of connection that feels best for them, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to attend sessions without rearranging work, family, or other responsibilities.
Every therapist offering remote services is a licensed professional, and clients may change therapists at any time if they prefer a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical option for those seeking accessible, evidence-informed support for everyday mental health concerns.
