Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
There are times in our life where we reach a point that we realize something may not be manageable anymore or has gotten bigger than we anticipated. Often people may be feeling stuck or out of control. Whether it’s improving your mood, setting boundaries with others, adjusting to a new phase of life, exploring past trauma or your substance use coming into therapy is taking the first step to implementing change. Therapy provides a safe space where you can explore what is going on and challenge yourself. You oversee your therapy and I follow your lead. I am there to guide you. We will go through the process together.
My style is direct and transparent. I try to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere using respect, empathy, humor, compassion and confrontation. I utilize a combination of traditional and alternative treatment techniques. Therapies offered: DBT based skills, emotion regulation, healthy relationship skills, coping skills, CBT, spirituality, talk therapy, client centered therapy, grounding, anchoring and relaxation techniques. My hours of availability are mainly M-F during the day. If you have other needs we can discuss this and possibly work something out. I am available for “chat sessions” on some evenings or weekends.

Robin Johnson works with people who reach moments when problems feel larger than they can manage and everyday life begins to feel out of control. Whether the focus is improving mood, setting clearer boundaries, adjusting to a new phase of life, exploring past trauma, or addressing substance use, beginning therapy with Robin is framed as a first step toward meaningful change.
She provides a safe space for clients to examine what is happening and to take on challenges at their own pace. Clients oversee their therapy while Robin follows their lead, offering guidance and support throughout the process so progress is collaborative rather than prescribed.
Her clinical style is direct and transparent, balanced with an effort to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere built on respect, empathy, humor, compassion, and at times constructive confrontation. Robin draws from both traditional and alternative techniques to tailor treatment to each person.
Therapeutic approaches Robin uses include DBT-based skills and emotion regulation, healthy relationship and coping skills, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), spirituality-informed discussion, client-centered talk therapy, grounding and anchoring methods, and relaxation techniques.
Her areas of specialty include stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief, self-esteem, depression, addictions, work with LGBT clients, relationship and family conflicts, parenting concerns, anger management, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching, and ADHD.
Robin holds licensure as a master’s-level social worker in Michigan and as an independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts. She has eight years of experience providing therapy and practices in Michigan.
Her availability is primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours; she is open to discussing alternative scheduling needs and offers some chat sessions on evenings or weekends when possible.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating transitions in life, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that works best for them, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That variety makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to access support from wherever is most comfortable.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if a different fit is desired it is possible to switch therapists. For many people, online therapy offers a practical, effective way to address everyday mental health concerns and to engage in consistent therapeutic work without the need for in-person visits.
