Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a psychotherapist, but first I am a human who genuinely wants to understand your world and not tell you how to live it. I am never the expert on your life. You are. My role is to sit beside you with real curiosity, explore what is happening beneath the surface, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself you have learned to quiet, hide or carry alone.
People usually find me when they feel stuck between who they have had to be and who they want to become. You might feel overwhelmed, shut down, numb or simply exhausted from performing “I am fine” when it is not true. Whatever you bring, I will meet you exactly where you are without pressure or pretence.
How I Work:
Therapy with me is warm, grounded and a little bit creative. We slow things down. We get curious together. We pay attention to what your body is doing, not only your thoughts. If words feel difficult, we can use metaphor, drawing or simple expressive tools to bring your inner world to life.
You do not need to be artistic. These methods simply create enough distance so that your thoughts and feelings feel safer to approach.
I use a blend of person centred work, emotional work, somatic awareness and parts based therapy. We tailor everything to you, not the other way around.
I tend to work with people who are feeling:
– a sense of “who am I right now” or identity wobbles
– emotionally overwhelmed or stuck in overthinking
– low mood, flatness or a loss of connection with themselves
– a drop in confidence or self esteem that feels hard to explain
– patterns in relationships that keep repeating
– the weight of big life changes and transitions
You do not need to arrive with the perfect explanation. Most people begin with a feeling.
“I do not feel like myself.”
“I am tired of holding everything up.”
“I cannot put it into words, but something feels off.”
That is enough. We can make sense of it together.
What You Can Expect From Me:
I am real, open and fully myself in the therapy space. I bring honesty that is kind, curiosity that does not fade when things get uncomfortable, and a sense of humour when it helps you breathe again. You do not need to perform with me or be the “together” version of yourself.
I am not here to fix you from a distance (or at all!). We figure things out side by side. We get to know the different parts of you, the loud ones and the quiet ones, and we help them start working together rather than pulling you in every direction.
If you want therapy that feels human, grounded and genuinely collaborative, I am here.

Bethan Heap is a psychotherapist who begins from a simple belief – that the person in the room is the expert on their own life. She aims to understand someone’s world with genuine curiosity rather than telling them how to live it, and she works alongside people to explore what lies beneath the surface.
People often come to her feeling caught between who they have had to be and who they want to become. They may notice overwhelm, shutdown, numbness or the exhaustion of saying “I am fine” when that is not true. Bethan meets each person without pressure or pretence and accepts whatever they bring to the room.
Her therapeutic approach is warm, grounded and gently creative. Sessions are paced to slow things down and attend to both the body and the mind. When words are hard to find, she offers metaphor, drawing or simple expressive tools to make inner experience easier to approach—and she emphasises that no artistic skill is required for these methods to be useful.
Practically, she draws on person-centred work, emotional processing, somatic awareness and parts-based therapy, tailoring all aspects of the work to fit the individual rather than forcing a single method. She commonly supports people who are experiencing identity wobbles, emotional overwhelm or persistent overthinking, low mood or a flatness of feeling, unexplained drops in confidence or self-esteem, repeating patterns in relationships, or the strain of major life transitions.
Clients rarely need a neat explanation to begin. Simple signals such as “I do not feel like myself,” “I am tired of holding everything up,” or “I cannot put it into words, but something feels off” are enough to start the work together. In the therapy space Bethan brings honesty that is kind, sustained curiosity when things become uncomfortable, and a lightness of humour where it helps people breathe again.
She does not position herself as someone who fixes people from a distance. Instead she works side by side with clients to map and name the different parts of their experience, helping those parts to relate to one another more safely and cooperatively. For those seeking therapy that is human, grounded and genuinely collaborative, Bethan offers that way of working.
Bethan holds a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling with Contemporary Creative Approaches and a BSc in Psychology. She is fully registered as a psychotherapist in the UK (MNCPS Accred.) and has completed additional training plus ongoing continuing professional development in a range of approaches that support her relational, somatic and expressive style of practice.
Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist remotely can really help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and major life transitions – online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person work for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility: clients can choose the mode of contact that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would work better. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health challenges, online therapy provides an accessible and effective option.
