I am a licensed therapist in Georgia. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. My specialties are working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress management issues, and coping with life changes. I have experience with the following areas: mood disorders (particularly Bipolar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder), anxiety, anger management, addiction, crisis stabilization, et-al. I operate from an eclectic Cognitive Behavioral theoretical perspective employing core concepts of humanism, and social work principles such as self determination and beneficence. I also incorporate elements of strengths based, solution focused, motivational interviewing and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I enjoy using meditation/relaxation exercises including guided imagery, body scan meditation, mindfulness, and progressive muscle relaxation.
I graduated with my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2014. During my career I have enjoyed working with children, adolescents, adults, families and groups. I have worked as a Therapist in a Structured Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Program, a Substance Abuse Counselor in a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, a Child & Adolescent Group Therapist for a private practice, a Mental Health Counselor for the Georgia Department of Corrections, a Mobile Crisis Behavioral Health First Responder for the Georgia Crisis Access Line, a Behavioral Health Clinician in an Intellectual /Developmental Disability Crisis Home, and as a Social Work Graduate Assistant for the Department of Juvenile Justice. Many people ask whether virtual therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
Another major benefit is convenience – clients can choose the communication method that fits their life, whether that is video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to maintain regular contact with a therapist and integrate treatment into a busy schedule.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and individuals have the option to change therapists at any time if they need a different fit. Online therapy offers an accessible way to receive consistent, professional support for many everyday mental health concerns.
