Vicky Bond Jones

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hi My name is Vicky! I am a qualified and NCPS accredited therapist. I believe therapy is one of the kindest gifts that we can give ourselves. I believe every individual has the potential for growth and transformation. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their inner selves and overcome personal challenges.

Sessions:
I understand that you may feel nervous or uncertain about our first session, and that’s completely normal. To help you feel more comfortable please do ask me any questions that you may have about our sessions.
My approach is empathetic, warm and collaborative. Life can be complex, presenting difficult challenges. In our sessions I will work with you to navigate these complexities, providing a space for reflection, understanding and growth.

I’ve worked with a diverse client base including adults and adolescents. Whatever you bring to therapy will be unique to you. I do not pretend to have a one size fits all approach. Our sessions will be personalised to you and I will always check in to ensure that you are happy with the direction that we are going. During our sessions I will be led by you. Together we will unpack your worries or whatever has led you here. I will always listen to you with compassion and without judgement. I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.

At the heart of my practice is a deep belief in the therapeutic relationship. This bond is the foundation of our work together. I want you to feel secure and supported, and I’m committed to providing a safe, confidential and compassionate space where you can speak freely and openly. These sessions are for you, and I will walk alongside you as you explore your inner world with care and empathy.

My Philosophy
Therapy offers a unique space for everyone. How often do we have the chance to sit with someone in a safe, non-judgmental environment where we can share our thoughts and feelings freely? Where we’re truly listened to, without interruption, giving us the time and space to reflect and consider our emotions.

While friends and family can offer love and support, have you noticed how, at times, they may only listen to a certain point before jumping in with their opinions or advice? That’s where therapy differs. In therapy, the focus is entirely on you—your thoughts, your needs, and your journey. There are moments when we need that extra level of understanding, and recognising that is a significant step. I’m here to walk with you through that process.

About Me:
I have always had a natural ability to connect with people and understand them on a deeper level. Retraining as a therapist was something I had often considered, but it wasn’t until lockdown gave me the space to reflect that I decided to pursue it. I began with a Level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Introduction to Counselling Skills, followed by a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory, and ultimately, a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice.

As a pluralistic therapist, I integrate various approaches, including humanistic (person-centred), CBT, and psychodynamic therapy. This allows me to adapt my approach based on what feels most helpful to you. I can explain this in more detail during our first session.

My counselling service for teens can address issues such as academic pressure, social dynamics, self esteem as well as a whole host of other concerns. Our sessions will look towards building resilience, advocating for yourself, confidence boosting and putting into place healthy and helpful coping skills.

I have experience working for a charity that supports young people and parents, including within a secondary school setting. I have helped individuals navigate a range of challenges, such as anxiety, stress, self-defeating behaviors, low confidence and self-esteem, relationship issues, attachment difficulties, grief, and suicidal thoughts.

I am a registered and accredited member of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) I am bound by their code of ethics and I take this extremely seriously. I attend regular supervision to ensure that I am practicing safely and ethically.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person work. Research and practice show that remote sessions work well for a wide range of everyday mental health and relationship issues.

A key benefit is flexibility. People can choose the way that suits them best – video sessions, phone calls, live chat or in-app messaging – making it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to maintain continuity during times of change.

Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and individuals who start with online therapy can change therapists if they need a different fit. For many, the accessibility and convenience of online appointments make it a practical and helpful option for engaging in therapeutic work.
