Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
I’m a qualified counsellor dedicated to providing a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind. I believe that counselling is not about fixing you — because you’re not broken — but rather helping you reconnect with your strengths, make sense of your experiences, and find new ways forward.
My approach is person-centred at its core, which means I place you — your values, your voice, and your pace — at the heart of our work together. I also draw on elements from other therapeutic models, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, depending on what best supports your needs.
Clients often come to me struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss, self-esteem issues, or relationship challenges. Whether you’re going through a specific life event or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed, we can work together to untangle what’s going on and help you move toward greater clarity and emotional balance.
I offer a calm and confidential space where you can talk freely and be met with empathy, respect, and understanding. I know that reaching out can feel like a big step, and I’m here to walk alongside you — not to lead or direct you, but to support you in your own journey of self-discovery and healing.
If you feel we might be a good fit, I’d be glad to hear from you.

Donna Hughes is a qualified counsellor who creates a warm, non-judgmental space for people to explore what is on their mind. She frames counselling not as a way to “fix” someone – because she believes people are not broken – but as a process to reconnect with strengths, make sense of experiences, and discover practical ways forward.
Her practice is grounded in a person-centred approach, which means Donna places each person’s values, voice, and pace at the centre of the work. She also integrates techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy when these approaches best support a client’s needs.
Donna regularly supports people dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood or depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and coping with life changes. Whether someone is facing a specific life event or feeling generally overwhelmed or stuck, she works collaboratively to help untangle what is happening and to restore greater clarity and emotional balance.
She offers a calm and confidential environment where clients can speak openly and be met with empathy, respect, and understanding. Reaching out can feel like a significant step, and Donna aims to walk alongside clients – supporting their own process of self-discovery and healing rather than directing it.
If Donna appears to be a good fit, she would be glad to hear from anyone interested in beginning therapy with her.
Many people wonder whether therapy delivered online can genuinely help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the mode of contact that feels most comfortable, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy around work, family, and other commitments.
Therapists available remotely are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they want a different fit. Online therapy can provide accessible, practical support for many everyday mental health needs.
