Choosing a counsellor is an important part of reclaiming your life: choose another human being to connect with, someone with whom you can truly ‘gel’ with. So, Hi, I’m Lalida. Nice to meet you 🙂
✔️How we work together and our therapy journey…
I know that the struggle you’re experiencing right now isn’t for lack of trying. You’ve likely tried so many ways to overcome it, to cope with it, and to make it more manageable. Maybe you’re wondering why it hasn’t worked, or why it doesn’t feel the way you expected.
In the journey we’ll take together, I can help you understand why you are the way you are, and why you’re dealing with things the way you do. Healing isn’t just about fixing what’s broken—it’s about learning to see yourself as a whole person, even with the parts that feel wounded. We’ll uncover the inner strength that’s been there all along, that is already within you, even if they feel hidden right now, and use it to not just cope, but to truly heal..

I provide a safe, understanding space where you can be yourself—like stepping into a room where no one is watching, where there are no judgmental eyes, no critical voices. Just a space where you can breathe, explore, and grow without the weight of expectation. In this space, we’ll work to build on your strengths, not to “fix” you, but to guide you toward becoming the fullest, truest version of yourself.
I strongly believe that you know yourself the best, therefore, I’m here to listen, not to diagnose, and understand how you came to be. We live in this world where there are expectations of how a person should be, so that might overshadow your true self. But who are you, beneath the layers of external influences? Who is the person that emerges when the world’s expectations fade away?
✔️More about me and my experiences
I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with a registered membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I worked in the NHS and in charities for those affected by sexual abuse and domestic abuse.
I work with both short- and long-term clients, from ages 18 to 70, helping with a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, childhood sexual abuse, rape, anxiety, depression, panic attack, OCD, eating disorders, bereavement, self-harm, work-related stress, and low self-esteem.
I have worked I am based in Derby and Nottingham. My name might have you guessing where I am from – I am from Bangkok, Thailand.
✔️My approach…
I am qualified as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist from the University of Derby in a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited by BACP. I utilise a range of psychological approaches including CBT, Person-Centred Approach, Attachment Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion-Focused Therapy to help adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional and psychological distress.
“I’m an integrative therapist which means I apply multiple approaches to work with you. I don’t believe in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, so I customise, tailor and personalise our sessions to fit your needs.”
1️⃣Person-Centered Approach
In the PCA, the focus is on you, the client. I believe in creating a warm and accepting environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I’m not here to tell you what to do. You know yourself the best. This approach allows you to work towards your self-discovery and how you can grow.
2️⃣Attachment Theory
Attachment theory explores the impact of early relationships on our emotional well-being. In our sessions, we’ll explore how your past attachments might influence your current relationships and behaviours. Understanding these patterns can pave the way for healthier connections with others and with ourselves.
3️⃣Cognitive-Behavioral Theory
CBT is a practical and goal-oriented approach that examines the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. We’ll work together to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, developing effective coping strategies to use in any life’s challenges.
4️⃣Compassion-Focused Therapy
Compassion-focused therapy is all about self-compassion and understanding. We’ll explore ways to develop kindness and acceptance toward yourself. This approach can be particularly beneficial in managing self-criticism and discovering and strengthening resilience carried within you.

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or coping with life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One of the clearest benefits is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that fits them best and join sessions by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to engage from a location that feels comfortable.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they feel another clinician would be a better fit. For many people facing everyday mental health and life concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and practical way to begin or continue their therapeutic work.
