Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, I am Laura Stoops and I am a UK qualified integrative counsellor. This means that I am trained in using different types of counselling and can combine these to best support you. The types of counselling I use most are Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, which ensures I work ethically.
I understand that opening up to someone can be difficult, especially as we don’t know each other at the start. Please know that I will always be non-judgemental and supportive no matter the topic we are discussing.
I have supported clients with a range of areas including:
Anxiety | Depression | Relationships / relating to others | Grief / loss | Health worries | Ageing worries | Carer responsibilities | Future goals | Self-awareness
If you choose to work with me, I will aim to support you in the way that works best for you. I will always listen, try to understand what you are facing from your perspective, and together we can work on improving things for you.
I look forward to speaking to you.

Many people wonder whether remote counselling can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or coping with life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One key benefit is flexibility – individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that feels most comfortable, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and it is possible to change therapists at any time if a different fit is preferred.
