Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello! If you are reading this, you have found Better Help and probably have a ton of questions about therapy and this whole process. Is online counseling right for you? Am I the right counselor to talk too? I can totally relate to that moment when you start the search for a therapist and make the decision to seek help for yourself. Therapy is scary, at least it was for me when I started. I remember the moment when I sat down on the couch across from a stranger with their clipboard and pen and I was expected to bare my soul. Funny, I was supposed to tell this person all my problems and through words they were magically going to help me… Well it worked! Though therapy is a little more than just talking and Better Help is online therapy, I still believe in the therapy process and my ability to help you during this dark time.
My name is Christina and I have been a client before. Today I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been practicing for almost seven years. Throughout those seven years I have learned and come to believe that therapy can help! I graduated from The University of Southern Indiana with my Bachelors in Social Work in 2012 and my Masters in Social Work in 2013. I started working for a local mental health agency, providing therapy services to adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples. After six and half years I made the choice to step away from the big mental health agency concept and start a private practice so that I can truly connect and help my clients on a more personal level. I provide my clients with understanding, knowledge, and my own raw emotion in attempts to connect with them, understand their unique situation, and join together in a journey that will lead my clients to overall better health. While I am new to providing online therapy, I am very experience in making a connection with my clients, meeting them where they are in life, and helping them navigate through dark times.
My passion is working with individuals, families, and couples in identifying areas in their life that are in need of a change. This change can be through physical health, by learning better eating habits, developing weight loss goals, improving how they treat their body, and/or improving their sleep and physical activity. Many of my clients I work with are working towards more positive thought processes, acceptance of the things they can’t change, healing from past relationships, and healing from past grief, shame, and guilt that has kept their minds and bodies in a state of depression, anxiety, trauma, and anger.
I deliver and match the energy and motivation my client brings to me because I truly understand what it is like to experience pain, depression, anxiety, and need to change. I will work with you to reach your full potential and achieve your therapy goals. With a little hard work, determination, and wiliness to achieve change you will leave therapy being thankful for that moment when you decided to go to Better Help.com, find a therapist, and sign on to your first therapy session with a stranger who didn’t actually expect you to bare your soul. Honestly, I just expect you to be broken and honest, just like me!

She speaks from both professional training and personal experience, having been a therapy client herself. Christina earned a Bachelor of Social Work in 2012 and a Master of Social Work in 2013 from The University of Southern Indiana. Early in her career she provided therapy to adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples while working for a local mental health agency for six and a half years before transitioning to private practice to foster more personal connections with those she serves.
Christina works with people facing a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem struggles, depression, coping with life changes, addictions, LGBT issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, eating and sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, ADHD, compassion fatigue, and coaching needs.
Her clinical approach emphasizes understanding, clinical knowledge, and authentic emotional engagement to join clients on a shared path toward improved well-being. She helps individuals, couples, and families identify areas in their lives that need change – such as developing healthier eating habits, setting weight management goals, improving sleep and physical activity – while also supporting work on more adaptive thinking, acceptance of unchangeable circumstances, and healing from past relationships, grief, shame, or guilt that contribute to depression, anxiety, trauma, or anger.
Though newer to offering online therapy, Christina has extensive experience building strong therapeutic connections, meeting clients where they are, and supporting them through difficult periods. She aims to match the energy and motivation clients bring, and to collaborate with them in working toward their therapy goals with honesty, effort, and determination.
