Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a BACP registered counsellor working in the Cheshire west area of England. My experience comes from providing direct mental health counselling for young people and adults (including the elderly) with a variety of presenting issues including anxiety, relationship issues (including work and family), trauma, grief and loss, depression, gender identity issues and key worker/first responder trauma.
I approach the therapeutic relationship with an acute sensitivity and respect for multi-cultural factors and have worked with indigenous people and within multicultural work and educational environments. My experience is varied and across settings as I have provided individual therapy for a community health agency, in educational and private practice settings. I believe we are all a product of our closest relationships, environment, personal experiences and our family systems. I endeavour to treat the therapeutic relationship with compassion, respect and warmth.
My therapeutic approach draws from Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy, Compassionate Enquiry and the Rogerian Person-Centred modality which is founded on the belief that individuals have an innate capacity to reach their true potential when provided with unconditional positive regard, honesty and transparency and empathic understanding. I aim to meet you where you are and balance my approach and your treatment to what best works for us as we collaborate to meet your goals.
It takes courage and determination to work towards a more fulfilling and happy life. I am here to support and empower you take the first step.
