Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in Florida and Georgia with 25 years of professional experience working with individuals and couples. Most of my experience is in helping clients with relationship issues–challenging the status quo, making connections, and in some cases separating or divorcing. Some of my former clients tell me they like my directness as we work together. If you have not explored your individual issues, I can help with those too. I am not a good fit for clients with addiction, domestic violence or faith-based issues. I prefer to work with clients who are ready to move beyond the “stable” ambiquity that characterizes their current lives–stuck in what is instead of moving to what feels more satisfying. I will tailor our conversation and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I applaud you for getting started!

Richard Long is a marriage and family therapist licensed in Florida (FL LMFT MT3126) and Georgia (GA LMFT MFT000855) with 25 years of professional experience working with individuals and couples.
Much of his work centers on relationship concerns – helping people challenge the status quo, build or repair connections, and in some instances separate or divorce when that step is needed.

He is not a good fit for clients dealing with addiction, domestic violence, or faith-based issues. He prefers to work with people who are ready to move beyond the “stable” ambiguity that keeps them stuck in what is, and toward what feels more satisfying.
Richard recognizes that taking the first step into therapy takes courage and commends those who begin the process.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the most useful benefits is flexibility – you can meet with a therapist in the format that fits your life, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to schedule regular sessions and stay engaged in treatment.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if you decide you need a different fit, you can switch therapists. Online therapy can be a practical option for addressing everyday mental health and relationship needs while accommodating a busy schedule.
