Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am an empathetic counselor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I believe that each person is an expert in their own life and functioning but sometimes the awareness of our expertise is clouded and difficult to maintain. Counseling is one method of regaining and expanding our awareness and control over our own lives. I have experience supporting and counseling individuals with situational stressors, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, parenting and step-parenting issues, and trauma. I also have experience working with parents of children, teens, and adults who are coming out as gay, queer or trans.
I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will work with you toward greater understanding of yourself and stronger connection with your strengths and potential, helping you to make positive choices in your life – choices that work for you instead of against you. I recognize that each of us is connected to a larger network of individuals – community, family, partner – and I keep this in mind as we work toward greater effectiveness in relationships. I use a variety of tools and intervention strategies including Strengths-Based Counseling, Solution-Focused Counseling, Person-Centered Counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Counseling (CBT). It can take courage to reach out for help and I honor the strength it took to take this step.

Linda Stein is an empathetic counselor with 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She views each person as the expert in their own life and helps clients regain clarity and control when that sense of expertise becomes clouded. Counseling, in her approach, is a way to expand self-awareness and support more intentional decision-making.
She offers support for situational stress, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, parenting and step-parenting challenges, and trauma. Linda also works with individuals and families on relationship and family dynamics, intimacy-related issues, career concerns, depression, coaching needs, and compassion fatigue. She has specific experience assisting parents of children, teens, and adults who are coming out as gay, queer, or trans.
Linda combines respect, sensitivity, and compassion in her work while helping people connect with their strengths and potential. She keeps in mind that individuals are part of broader networks – partners, family, and community – and she integrates that perspective when addressing relationship effectiveness. Her clinical approach draws on Strengths-Based Counseling, Solution-Focused Counseling, Person-Centered Counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Counseling (CBT).
She holds MO LPC 2015016164, which is a Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor credential. Linda honors the courage it takes to reach out for help and supports clients as they pursue positive, practical choices that work for their lives.
Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that fits their life and comfort level, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to maintain consistency and keep therapy accessible amid busy schedules.
All therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists if they need a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical, effective option for many people seeking support for emotional and behavioral concerns.
