Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello
Many thanks for taking a look at my profile.
I provide one to one counselling that offers the opportunity to explore and make sense of those times when you might feel a little lost, uncertain or stuck. It is easy to feel overwhelmed when this happens and not ask for help; if this is how you feel right now, I would love to hear from you. By us working together you may find clarity, new direction, develop inner strength and resources in order to grow a more positive outlook for the future or acceptance of a situation.
The foundation of my work is based on building a warm, trusting and confidential relationship with you so you feel safe enough to share any thoughts or feelings that you may not have shared before. This can take time and may not always feel easy to do, especially in the beginning; but that is ok, you will be given all the time and space you need.
As an integrative counsellor I have studied and worked with a number of different approaches. This means I am able to bring a variety of ideas to your sessions and draw on a number of theories which may help deepen your own understanding of yourself or your behaviour and support you in feeling more confident to make changes and move forward.

Marie Potter offers one-to-one counselling designed to help people make sense of times when they feel lost, uncertain or stuck. She understands that these moments can feel overwhelming and that asking for help is often difficult; if this resonates, she welcomes contact.
Working together aims to create clarity, uncover new direction and develop inner resources so a person can grow a more positive outlook for the future or reach a degree of acceptance about a circumstance.
The foundation of her practice is a warm, trusting and confidential therapeutic relationship that helps clients feel safe enough to share thoughts or feelings they may not have spoken about before. This process can take time and may be challenging at the start, and she ensures each person has the time and space they need.
As an integrative counsellor she draws on a range of approaches and theories, bringing different ideas into sessions to deepen understanding of behaviour and support greater confidence to make changes and move forward. She has 10 years of experience and is based in the United Kingdom.
Many people ask whether meeting with a therapist online can really help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy can be comparable to traditional in-person sessions and is often an effective option.
A major benefit is flexibility – you can connect in the way that suits you best, whether that is a video call, a phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic fit is needed it is possible to switch to another therapist. Online therapy offers an accessible route to support while keeping the focus on practical benefits and how the approach can meet individual needs.
