Many people ask whether online therapy can genuinely help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges and navigating life changes – remote therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. People can meet with their therapist in the way that suits them best – by video call, over the phone, via live chat or through in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists who offer online work are licensed professionals, and it is possible to change to a different therapist at any time if someone feels another approach or style would be a better fit.
