Kelsey Rogers

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Hey There! My name is Kelsey and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have 10 years of experience as a fully licensed clinician and have spent majority of my training in the hospital setting. I also have extensive training working with families. I have experience with inpatient psychiatric units but my speciality lies with medically complex patients. I particularly enjoy helping families cope with life changes, individuals needing support with anxiety/depression, grief, and relationship issues. I have experience with developmental disabilities and moderate to high functioning autism.

In therapy, I take a solution focused approach and utilize Cognitive Behavioral strategies. This means I will help you set goals, build insight, and encourage you to try new things. Therapy is a unique and important experience for everyone and its sometimes the only time we have to ourselves. I feel that as a therapist it is important that you feel like you have a good understanding of my personality and style. I think this helps eliminate some confusion especially when we are chatting. I am pretty laidback but as you know my job is to help you so I may push you at times. I appreciate feedback and always want to know what your comfort level is with anything we try. I like to use activities in my therapy sessions and these may include homework, reading an article/book, or trying out a new coping skill. I believe that sometimes you have to try a few things before it sticks so this process will absolutely need collaboration. Some days you may not feel like trying something new and that’s okay! This time together is for you and I want you to feel like you have control over it. I will ask you more questions in the beginning so I can get a better sense of where you are at and what would be most helpful. If you ever feel like something in our sessions isn’t going well or if you decide I’m not a good fit for you, I will not be offended! Sometimes it might take a few tries to find your person. I can’t wait to get started.

About

Kelsey Rogers is a licensed therapist practicing in Texas, holding both a Texas licensed marriage and family therapist credential and a Texas licensed professional counselor credential (TX LMFT 203194, TX LPC 76353). She has 3 years of experience as a clinician and completed the majority of her clinical training in hospital settings.

Her background includes work on inpatient psychiatric units, and she has developed a specialty caring for medically complex patients. She also has extensive training in family work and supports individuals and families facing life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges.

She has experience working with developmental disabilities and with people on the autism spectrum who are moderate to high functioning. In practice she uses a solution-focused approach and applies Cognitive Behavioral strategies to help clients set clear goals, gain insight, and test new coping skills.

Kelsey aims to create a collaborative treatment process that often includes activities between sessions such as brief homework, reading, or trying new techniques. She describes her style as laidback but will challenge clients when helpful, and she welcomes feedback about pace and comfort throughout therapy. Early sessions include more questions so she can understand current needs and identify what will be most useful. If someone feels she is not the right fit, she encourages them to keep searching and does not take that personally.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and major life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical practice both support the usefulness of remote sessions for these sorts of issues.

One key benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to maintain consistency and fit therapy into a busy life.

Licensed professionals provide online services, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they need a different fit. For many people, remote therapy is a practical and effective way to get timely support and continue working toward their goals.
