Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of clinical experience. I completed my doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Florida followed by clinical internship in Medical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital. I completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of South Florida Department of Internal Medicine specializing in eating/weight disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression and general stress management. More recently, I have had the privilege of providing mental health services to our nation’s veterans, many of whom are adjusting to life with a spinal cord injury or disease (trauma, ALS, MS). I have additional certification in evidence-based treatment for PTSD and trauma.
Although I am trained to provide research-supported therapies for a multitude of emotional and behavioral problems (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness, Exposure Therapy, Behavioral Therapy), I find it very important to individualize therapy based one’s unique circumstances and needs. I also understand that sometimes life can just seem a bit overwhelming, and what is most helpful is more general stress management and support through a difficult life transition or situation. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will work together to determine your specific needs and goals.
I am so glad you are considering some extra support. It certainly takes courage to reach out for help. I look forward to working with you!
