Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
**Must schedule through therapist to avoid errors and double-bookings. Thank you!
I am a psychotherapist who specializes in addiction, shame, trauma, and helping others learn the art of self-compassion. I utilize Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to facilitate a large majority of my individual and group sessions. This action-oriented framework is congruent with my belief system and core values. Instead of expending energy resisting or denying their emotions toward a difficult concept, it encourages one to accept these emotions as an appropriate response to certain situations and to move forward regardless. This eases the conflict between how a person believes they are “supposed to” feel and how they realistically feel under circumstances to which they are exposed.
I am a trained practitioner in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. (EMDR) This adaptive integrative processing approach uses bilateral stimulation and lateral eye movement to strengthen positive neural networks within one’s brain. It helps rescript and establish positive connections about a previously-held negative belief. It reinforces the positive pathway and helps the individual cope with the memory while applying new, positive beliefs about a negative situation.
Using a holistic approach is essential in my practice. A person is not their diagnosis. A person is not their addiction. A person is a complex individual who deserves the care and respect that I would hope be shown toward myself or someone that is close to me. Working through shame is a process and a journey that is best traversed with compassion.

Jennifer Limmex is a psychotherapist who focuses on addiction, shame, trauma, and cultivating self-compassion. She draws primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an action-oriented approach that helps people acknowledge their emotions rather than fight them and then take meaningful steps forward. This method reduces the tension between how someone believes they should feel and how they actually feel in difficult situations.
Jennifer is also a trained practitioner in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR uses bilateral stimulation and lateral eye movement to reinforce positive neural pathways, helping to replace negative beliefs tied to past memories and strengthen healthier responses to those experiences.
Her practice adopts a holistic perspective: she treats people as whole individuals rather than defining them by a diagnosis or an addiction. Working through shame is viewed as a gradual process, one best navigated with patience and compassion. Jennifer emphasizes respectful, person-centered care aligned with the standards she would expect for herself or for someone close to her.
She is a licensed counselor in Wisconsin and Arizona and brings ten years of clinical experience to her work. Jennifer addresses a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, depression, relationship and family conflicts, intimacy issues, anger management, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue. She has limited availability at this time, so prospective clients should contact her directly to schedule.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility. Individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that works best for them – video appointments, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients have the option to change therapists at any time if they need a different match. These factors make online therapy a practical and accessible option for many people seeking support.
