Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Reaching out for support is an act of courage, and I honor you for taking the first step toward lasting change! You’re here because you’re going through something, and whatever that is, I’m here to help.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Louisiana and Massachusetts (in MA my license is “LICSW”) with ten years of experience working as a psychotherapist for children, adolescents, and adults. I have helped clients and families through issues including anxiety and depression, parenting challenging children, career difficulties, issues related to sexuality and gender identity, ADHD, life stress, work-life balance, relationship issues, and more. As someone who has struggled with both anxiety and depression at various points in my life, I come at the therapeutic process with both personal and professional knowledge, and always keep in mind those things that were most helpful to me when I was the one seeking a therapist.
My style as a therapist reflects my belief that the relationship you and I forge is the foundation from which change becomes possible. Working through the things which hold us back can mean facing difficult feelings and memories, and it’s important to have the right partner on that journey. I aim to be a supportive and encouraging partner in change, as well as getting to know you well so that I can provide interventions that make sense for you rather than a one size fits all approach. I believe in helping you build a toolbox of concrete tools and skills that you can draw from moving forward—in helping you equip yourself to meet not only the challenges you’re facing now, but also leaving you better prepared to manage future challenges as they come. I’m here to support you as we explore ways to help you meet your goals and live your best life!

Reaching out for support is an act of courage, and Jessica Gerson honors those first steps toward lasting change. She approaches each client with empathy and a practical focus, meeting people where they are and helping them move toward clearer, more manageable ways of living.
Jessica is a licensed clinical social worker in both Massachusetts and Louisiana – in Massachusetts she holds the LICSW designation – and she brings 12 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Over the course of her career she has supported individuals and families facing anxiety and depression, parenting challenges, career difficulties, questions related to sexuality and gender identity, ADHD, life stress and work-life balance, relationship conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, and other struggles.
Having experienced anxiety and depression herself at different times, Jessica draws on both personal insight and professional training to inform her work. She believes the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change and prioritizes building a collaborative, trusting connection with each person she sees.
Jessica favors an individualized approach rather than a one-size-fits-all method. She works to understand each client’s needs and to offer interventions and strategies that fit their life. A central goal of her work is to help clients develop a toolbox of concrete skills so they feel better equipped to handle current difficulties and future challenges.
Throughout therapy she aims to be a supportive and encouraging partner, helping people explore goals, process difficult feelings, and take practical steps toward living their best life.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating major life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to maintain continuity of care.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, remote therapy offers an accessible and effective path to support and growth.
