Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi Welcome to my profile. I know it takes a great deal of courage to look for a therapist. Having counselling or psychotherapy is a big step towards feeling better, and making sense of why things are the way they are. Whether you are suffering from anxiety, generalized anxiety, depression, low self esteem or lack of confidence, or relational difficulties I can help. I also have a particular interest in working with individuals who have ADHD or ADD or think they may have. I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor trained in psychotherapy and counselling and I am a registered member of MBACP and work confidentially within their ethical framework. I have a level 7 Post Graduate level Diploma in Transactional Analysis from an Integrative Perspective.
I work empathically and in a non judgemental way, giving a safe space for you and I to explore together how you are feeling and the impact of those. My style is warm and interactive, and I like to tailor my treatment approach to your individual needs.
I am trained in Transactional Analysis and Integrative Psychotherapy, the former looks at the ego states of different transactions and can be hugely helpful in navigating difficult or challenging relationships. Integrative psychotherapy goes a bit deeper looking at why we are the way we are, and why we suffer in the way we do. Making sense of things can really help us to move forward too. Building a sense of self and positive self esteem where that is lacking. Many people go through traumatic experiences growing up or in adult life and talking to someone about it can help to put it to rest. My practice is informed by neurobiological research, which is a particular interest. Your treatment plan will be specific to your needs, formed with your collaboration. It takes a few sessions to get to know what will work best, but in the first month I would expect your symptoms to start to improve, and continue to lift in the next couple of months. I realize that sometimes it may take longer than that.
My background is in General Nursing. I really enjoy helping people to have a greater sense of well being and quality of life, discovering who they are and what they want from life and how to heal from and cope with mental distress, which is sometimes derived from physical illness as well.
The first session will be an opportunity for us to meet one another and to think together about what you need from therapy, also for you to see if I am a good “fit” for you. I am open to work short or long term.

Jeannette Mason welcomes people who are ready to take the step of finding a therapist and recognises the courage that involves. She offers counselling and psychotherapy as a way to make sense of difficult patterns and to begin feeling better.
She works with anxiety – including generalized anxiety – depression, low self-esteem and lack of confidence, relational difficulties, and with people who have or suspect they have ADHD or ADD. Jeannette is a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor trained in psychotherapy and counselling, a registered member of MBACP – a professional UK counselling association – and she works within their ethical framework.
Jeannette holds a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis from an Integrative Perspective. Her approach is warm, interactive and non-judgemental, offering an empathic space in which to explore feelings and their impact. She tailors treatment to each person, forming a collaborative plan that is specific to individual needs.
She is trained in Transactional Analysis and Integrative Psychotherapy. Transactional Analysis examines ego states and the patterns of interaction that can complicate relationships, while Integrative Psychotherapy explores deeper reasons for how people develop and why they suffer in particular ways. Her practice is informed by neurobiological research, which shapes how she understands trauma and emotional distress.
Jeannette aims to help clients build a stronger sense of self and to restore positive self-esteem where it is lacking. She recognises that many people carry traumatic experiences from childhood or adulthood and that discussing these experiences can be an important part of moving forward. In general, she expects symptoms to begin improving within the first month and to continue lifting over the following months, while acknowledging that some situations take longer to resolve.
With a background in General Nursing, Jeannette brings experience of working with mental distress that can be connected to physical illness as well as other life challenges. The first session is an opportunity to meet, consider what is needed from therapy and to see if she is a good fit. She is open to both short-term and long-term working arrangements.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and navigating life changes – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and practical experience show that remote care often achieves similar outcomes for these kinds of issues.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a daily routine and reduces barriers to accessing support.
Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. This approach gives people more choice in how they receive care while maintaining professional standards of practice.
